ensure that some abuses occur.

If it is apparent that within an industry some operators have the discression to fleece customers, without regulatory censure or penalty, then it is apparent that the regulatory authority is ineffective.

The selection of Afilias Ltd. as the .info registry and Afilias's subsequent management of the .info launch would be considered by many as evidence enough that a shakeout is required in the DNS regulatory authority ICANN.

If the Neulevel management of the .biz registry has been similar to that of Afilias with .info, in as much that the interests of customers are being ignored, then there is an urgent need for those responsible for the performance of ICANN to take stock and to make the changes needed to protect the Internet community from those within the domain industry, who in the absence of appropriate or penalties are happy to fleece customers.
