truly new application as well as benefits for traditional .com/.net/.org users, and importantly, is not replicated on the net.  However, .biz looks to me to be at best a "trendy" and possibly ephemeral, third rate substitute for .com.  I think .biz has the potential to rival .tv as a waste of money, swallowed by registry hype.  I think you are also right that some .biz registrars will have secured the best of the lack lustre extension.

I think that Neulevel must be aware of the limitations of the appeal of .biz when its own homepage has "how to use .biz" info for prospective registrants.  .biz is not .business, not even for a huge percentage of English speakers, so what is the likelyhood of the takeup of .biz in non-English speaking cultures?
