Subject: This is clearly the most active ICANN forum - so WHY close it down?

If ICANN want public participation and open dialogue, why close down the forum which has had thousands of postings, and continues to be used every day?

I very much hope ICANN will decide NOT to close it down, because there remain many issues and concerns that await ICANN's response and involvement.

The purpose of a forum is involvement and co-operative help : ICANN has been shameful by its absence from this forum (which its President Stuart Lynn regards as "a joke").

However, it is very easy to copy source and keep a site running. I've been busy copying the HTML source of this forum for some time. If ICANN try to silence it, it is easy to make it pop up again and all ICANN's other forums (which are scarcely used) can be filled with links to the new location.

ICANN : instead of closing down your most active forum, how about you try actually PARTICIPATING in it?

Openness, transparency, public participation, accountability, dialogue, honesty...

Once upon a time there was a man called Vint Cerf...
