Subject: Where do individuals with vanity domain names go?

Message:

I am neither a company, nor an internet connectivity/backbone site. Thus I did not register my domain in .COM or in .NET but instead in the "everything else" category which was .ORG. But neither am I a "non-profit corporation". So where am I now to go?

Note that vanity domains need not be limited to one's own name so the proposed .NOM TLD is also inappropriate.

This smells like a power grab to kick all individuals off of the net.

My solution? Leave .ORG as it is and create .NPO for non-profit organizations. Everybody would be happy.

Retroactive rule changes invite chaos, anger, lawsuits, and step on the rights of the individual.
