Agreed!

I registered by 'tthew.org' two years ago (for the email address 'm@tthew.org', although it's not currently being hosted anywhere), believing that I had a right to the name on the "first come, first served" basis of registration.

There was no mention of Non-Profit Organisations back then, and there shouldn't be now.

Here in the UK, all domains "*.ltd.uk" are available *only* to limited companies who are registered at Companies' House, so I don't see why "*.npo" can't be available *only* to registered charities, etc.

If the registrars can police the allocation of "*.ltd.uk", they can also police allocations of "*.npo".
