As the owner of a .com address and contact person for two .org addresses, I like
the proposal. Network Solutions has managed .com for decades, and as long as
they don't mess it up the presumption favoring renewal doesn't bother me (and if
they do mess it up, the presumption doesn't apply). I am strongly in favor
of restoring .net and .org to their intended meanings; yeah, there will probably
be a grandfather clause, but over time the grandfathered ones will drop off either
by nonrenewal or nobody visiting them because they don't expect to look for a business
under .org.
