Namezero supports the proposed agreement between ICANN and VeriSign. ICANN has succeeded in promoting competition in the domain name registration marketplace, and this agreement represents further progress in continuing that effort.

There are now over 100 accredited domain name registrars worldwide, and NSI's share of the registration market has significantly decreased since 1999. Companies such as Namezero have been able to capture substantial market share as a direct result of the competitive environment fostered by the efforts of ICANN.

We believe that this proposed agreement will continue to drive competitive forces while creating the stability and continuity that will positively impact the Internet addressing system, and the Internet community as a whole.
