Citizens Against Government Waste - a fair democratic organization and good cause, I am sure.

Did all your one million members and supporters voting on this, fully understand all the implications of giving proposal support?

;-)

Quote "For example, the average cost to obtain a domain name has fallen from approximately $70 for two years to less than $15 per year."

The decrease in the price for registration is not lead by VeriSign.

Quote "VeriSign has pledged a substantial infrastructure investment of $200 million"

Two simple questions for you:

Do you consider all these moneys paid out to be a bribe?

Who do you think will end up paying this $200 million - with interest (and profit) added?

The "continued stability of the Internet" is despite VeriSign and ICANN - not because of it.

Just look at the mess that will come about with Idealab (new.net) bringing out 20 imitation TLDs - due to ICANN holding up any new TLDs this last decade.

Just look at ICANN bringing out new TLD in conflict with one already running.

Have you any idea what is happening?
