The logic in creating a red-light district is that it will allow adult content providers the opportunity to facilitate the ease for which responsible adults can find their products and services.

As search engines begin to modify their algorithms to provide for priority placement of .XXX TLDs in connection with adult content queries, Adult content providers will migrate to the .XXX as a result of a business decision, pure and simple.  ICM Registry is merely trying to provide a means to categorize content for the benefit of Internet users, not segregate it.
