It is clear at this point that
ICANN --cough, Afilias- will have no other option but to choose Afilias. However,
we have a strong lawsuit at hands to appeal their decision, both on legal grounds,
and technical grounds. Most of the info on IOD they have published is false,
and everyone is well aware of this. We, the supporters, however should not
spend much more time idly watching what is going on and complaining to ICANN, but
work to prepare a strong lawsuit to appeal their soon to be decided results.
For
one, there is an ABUNDANCE of solid info, both on this message board, and other message
boards as fact in defence of IOD and their 'pioneering' spirit. Additionally,
there have been many attempts for ICANN to curb and keep under an air of secrecy
their ties with Afilias (ie...we can use the smallest details, of how on the main
applications site, Afilias is listed under applying for .info & etc.....yet we clearly
know ICANN has done this so as not to show what Afilias's true intentions were)
There are numerous pieces to the puzzle.
It is now our duty to begin collobarating,
as the tens of thousands of supporters, and fight for just competition in the domain
space
