The difference is the end-user 'cost' to change services.  It's rather
small to switch to a new credit card.  It's enormous -- and possibly deadly
to the organization -- to switch to a new domain name.

The distinction between "initial choice" and "renewal choice" is
fundamental.  Having a great deal of the former is of course a good thing.
Having essentially none at the latter event is paramount.
