Alternatively, one can observe that IANA does not provide governance and
that, therefore, discussion of governance is not relevance to the current
evolution of IANA.
If we focus on IANA as an agency for some basic administration efforts,
rather than expand the scope of the discussion and IANA to encompass new
and challenging issues of Internet governance, we will do two things at
once: 1) we will make it at least possible to get the job done in the
time available, 2) we will keep our efforts productive rather than
theoretical and diffuse.
