Neuter, don't empower VeriSign

To those considering compromise:
As someone who has been a principal in businesses depending on .com domain
names since 1993, and thus someone who has had numerous dealings with the
various predicessors of what is now VeriSign, I see no good from allowing
them to retain any ownership of the .com domain space whatsoever.
No settlement should be considered or entered into, especially not any
settlement which would allow VeriSign to increase any revenues from the .com
namespace at rates greater than general inflation. The ideal of fully
stripping VeriSign of all authority should be approximated as closely as the
courts may allow. Any cost of such action is cheap compared to the
consequences of not taking it.
Sincerely,
Whit Blauvelt
