[alac] GNSO and New gTLDs

Dear Committee Members,

At its meeting in Vancouver, the GNSO resolved to begin a new policy 
development process to create a strategy for implementing new gTLDs. It 
decided, however, that the issue was of such importance to the Council 
that it would *not* delegate the work to a task force. Instead, the 
Council will work as a "committee of the whole," involving all the 
members of the GNSO. Accordingly, we do not need to appoint anyone to a 
task force at this time. I will forward the timelines set for us by the 
bylaws as soon as we receive them from ICANN staff.
