[alac] [fwd] [gnso-dow123] Call for constituency statements (from: jordyn.buchanan@gmail.com)
Of course we're not a constituency, but we can also submit comments to the WHOIS TF report as an entity, if we have a consensus position. I'd recommend thatt ALAC support the OPOC proposal, as it proovides at least some privacy for registrants by letting them list a "point of contact" rather than hhaving to list their contact info publicly. This seems to strike a balance between contactability and privacy (though I personally would prefer even more privacy). Note that the "special circumstances" proposal would force registrants to justify their desire for privacy and would eliminate proxy registrations, neither of which I think is in the interest of the individual registrant. --Wendy ----- Forwarded message from Jordyn Buchanan <jordyn.buchanan@xxxxxxxxx> ----- From: "Jordyn Buchanan" <jordyn.buchanan@xxxxxxxxx> To: gnso-dow123@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Wed, 22 Nov 2006 19:18:21 -0500 Subject: [gnso-dow123] Call for constituency statements Reply-To: jordyn@xxxxxxxxxxxxx DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=beta; d=gmail.com; h=received:message-id:date:from:reply-to:to:subject:mime-version:content-type; b=We5voIjU5QLXZnob5h52OORK/I5nIdIzUG17AssThd0bkjG5rH1dEx5ftyXUSyULy6AsxQVZEsnY4hx4bq+YMfToAXtbZG1iuEVqoAVl+M8toPxhh6E2HMxhtLtB6y1LcZdOIWFgxCnGAyMPUsXUjskIVAieQNwLvTov+QH/7Ps= Task Force Representatives: As previously discussed, I am now making a call for Constituency Statements on our Terms of Reference items #2, #3 and #4 (the topics covered by our current report).
