Lifting of Price Controls

Unless the lifting of price controls on registry services is accompanied by 
allowing any firm that wants of become a registry operator do so there will not 
be sufficient competition for a free market to exist. The handful of registry 
operators can act with the monopoly they have and raise prices to unfair levels 
for their own benefit. From the range of registry prices that I have seen the 
operators are able to make a fair profit for their efforts with the current 
price controls and do not need the ability to raise prices at their whim to 
increase their own bottom line.

I say no to lifting price controls.
