Hello,
To followup on our prior comments:
http://forum.icann.org/lists/cac-prop-supp-rules/msg00000.html
we'd like to echo the concern of others that the UDRP providers are not
contractually bound by any agreement with ICANN. It is very disturbing that
this was uncovered ten years after the UDRP has been in place, and is an
unacceptable condition that needs to be corrected immediately.
Furthermore, ICANN staff have been derelict in their duties to provide a
complete set of UDRP proceedings, which are linked to from the page at:
http://www.icann.org/en/udrp/
The "List of Proceedings Arranged by Commencement Date" hasn't been updated
since 2007:
http://www.icann.org/en/udrp/proceedings/date-index.html
The same goes for the "Search Tool for the UDRP Proceedings Index (updated
daily)". The "Search Tool for UDRP Decisions (full-text, updated weekly)"
doesn't work at all (at least in Safari), and the "Statistical Summary" was
updated in 2004!
I strongly suggest outsourcing this ongoing task to an independent party such
as Michael Geist of UDRPInfo.com fame or via competitive tender. As discussed
previously:
http://gnso.icann.org/mailing-lists/archives/ga-200709/msg02391.html
decisions should be in a standardized XML format (i.e. "UDRPML") to simplify
analysis and redistribution of decisions.
Sincerely,
George Kirikos
