Domain Privacy
Dear ICANN,Please don't take away domain registration privacy. Publishing our personal contact information exposes of to fraud, spam, scammers, and all sorts of criminal activity. Domain privacy allows us to have contact information listed that allows legitimate inquiries while filtering out the bad stuff. And if a domain is used in criminal activity, it's easy enough to get a court order for the registrar to release the real contact information to law enforcement. Providing this information to the general public is the equivalent of forcing every person to list their personal cell phone number and email address in a central directory available to anyone on the internet. It's an invasion of privacy and just a really, really bad idea. -- Bret Miller Attachment:
