Dear ICANN –
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court order,
regardless of whether the request comes from a private individual or law
enforcement agency.
- DO NOT release my personal information to anyone.
- The only way that my personal information is to be released is through
due diligence, ending with a court order.
- My personal information was given to purchase the domains name. That was
the only reason for releasing my information nothing else.
- The law and regulation at the time ensured us that my personal
information was safe and secured and not released. I expect it to stay
that way.
Private information should b e kept private. Thank you.
Mitra
