Dear ICANN,

Further to the note below, I'd like to add my own comment:

I am against the proposed changes in privacy rules proposed. Being an
active member of the open-source community
(https://github.com/tiredpixel/), and working daily in the industry
(VP of Engineering at a company in London), I've registered many
domains over the years, both for personal and professional projects.

Unfortunately, there are many people on the internet I'd be very
uncomfortable having my home address. If accessing this information
were made much easier, this concern about my personal safety and
privacy might well have had to outweigh my interest and study within
the industry, resulting in many years of work I've contributed to the
community, much of it for free, having not had a safe space to develop.

I urge you to reconsider.

privacy services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services
Accreditation Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- - Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- - No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court
order, regardless of whether the request comes from a private
individual or law enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
