Dear ICANN,

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation
Issues Policy document):

I think you should respect our right to privacy and due legal process,
which means that no one’s personal information should be revealed without a
court order, regardless of who the requst comes from.

Private information should be kept private - we already know that people
abuse the whois system to try and cold-sell domain names or to hold people
to ransom when their domains accidentally expire, there is no obvious
reason why removing these protections will benefit anybody since criminals
will use fake information anyway and more law-abiding citizens will be
tempted to do the same.
