Hello,

I grew up in East Germany and experienced first-hand the suffering
that stem from an invasive and oppressive government. It appears that
in spite of holding up the claim of protecting America, those who
fight to find ever new ways to spy on people are in fact undermining
one of the core principles that makes this country what it is. There
is absolutely no reason whatsoever to remove the privacy protection
from WHOIS data now offered by registrars; no reason other than making
it easier to spy on people.

Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS
privacy services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services
Accreditation Issues Policy document):

I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process.
- Everyone deserves the right to privacy.
- No one’s personal information should be revealed without a court
order, regardless of whether the request comes from a private
individual or law enforcement agency.

Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
