Dear ICANN –
Regarding the proposed rules governing companies that provide WHOIS privacy
services (as set forth in the Privacy and Policy Services Accreditation Issues
Policy document):
I urge you to respect internet users' rights to privacy and due process. I run
several websites and blogs for personal use. It's bad enough that my personal
domain, thosemartins.us, forces me to reveal my personal contact information to
anyone and everyone on the Internet. Don't compound the problem by forcing me
to reveal my personal information through my other domains as well.
My personal information should only be available with a court order, when
there's a reasonable cause to believe that I've done something that would
sacrifice my right to privacy.
Private information should be kept private. Thank you.
~Joe
