Hello everyone
I would like to state for the record that the technical training
programs organized in cooperation with the regional TLD groups, regional
network operators groups (NOGs), ICANN, ISOC and NSRC over the past
years have significantly improved security, stability, and reliability
at a number of ccTLD registries in different world regions.
However, the number of requests and needs that we continue to receive
from individual ccTLD registries, as well as the regional TLD groups,
indicates that there remains ongoing need for help with the following
topics, among others, for a number of ccTLD registries:
to secure DNS installations, and instrument them
to learn about DNS service monitoring, including latency
to acquire experience with different DNS software platforms
to understand DNS Security (DNSSEC) extensions
to seek training/help with DNSSEC deployment plans and procedures
We greatly appreciate ICANN's continued leadership and engagement in
providing resources to assist the ccTLD registries and regional TLD
groups with improving their ability to secure and more effectively
manage their respective operations.
