Cyber Safety Petition...
This proposal is merely a vehicle for the agenda of clean internet ports, an agenda to force massive amounts of service providers to shift their (admittedly shady) services over to a non-standard port. The logistics involved in this are outrageous and unnecessary. This is an attempt to address the wrong aspect of the problem. Energy is this matter should be directed at stopping spammers who advertise pornography, "enhancement" pills, and so forth to children's email inboxes..and also directed at banner advertisers with highly suggestive ads that link to pornographic sites who likely would not be affected by this shift. Protecting our children is a noble cause, so let's focus on the places where the children are actually getting exposed. Good energy, wrong direction. This "CyberSafety Constituency" doesn't have the right idea. - Christopher Wagner |
