To Whom it May Concern;
I would like to point out that implementation of mechanisms designed to
permit easy net-censorship based on content of the information provided
should never be the mandate of ICANN.
The current proposal smacks of the "reglious-right" movement throughout the
USA and other countries who have been leading the charge to use the public's
own governing bodies to enfore their own moral agenda.
Technologies exist in the market today which are very successful at limiting
"adult" content from users view if these users wich to implement the
technologies. Forcing use of technology based on content is not only a bad
idea from a "freedom of expression" perspective, but is a very poor use of
technology standards development/maintainence.
