Don Blumenthal:I'm on SSAC now.
Gisella Gruber-White:Roy Arends has joined the Audio Bridge
Don Blumenthal:Is anybody else having problems with the mic plug-n
Greg Aaron:I'm on SSAC, but not representing SSAC to the DSSA
Gisella Gruber-White:Jim Galvin has joined the audio bridge
Rossella Mattioli:I agree with Mark
Jim Galvin:Apologies for being late folks.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I hope that person gets fired afterwards
Don Blumenthal:Reminder to id speaker
Jacques Latour:authoritative is authoritative, so, 1/13 of users potentially
effected?
Mark Kosters:one thing i should make clear on this root server zone change -
this has not been done that I've known about for over a decade
Mark Kosters:root zone file change
Mark Kosters:that is
Jim Galvin:jacques: actually, it depends on the size of the root server
footprint. not all cover all parts of the global and some do some parts more
than others. so,to say 1/13 is really over simplifying.
Jim Galvin:also, it's really 1/12 since verisign is two of them.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Control is pretty high, BUT it's happened in the
past.... so it's not a zero chance of happening
Jacques Latour:serving a blank zone, or an old zone?
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I think we're speaking about an anycast cluster/cloud
Luis Espinoza .cr:In any way, the original question talks about some
misconfiguration on 1 server, if that is replicated to all the others
Luis Espinoza .cr:in the same anycast, by example?
Mark Kosters:works for me!
Jacques Latour:removes the zone (anycast or unicast) from being
Luis Espinoza .cr:Yes, the controls in place!
Rossella Mattioli:Technical requirements for authoritative name servers
https://www.iana.org/procedures/nameserver-requirements.html
Rossella Mattioli:Ouch, DNSSEC...
Jacques Latour:root zone key expiration
Patrick Jones:PCH has one as well (DNSSEC service)
Roy Arends:as does Nominet
Mark Kosters:VeriSign has seen very little demand on their "bump on the wire"
dnssec service
Jacques Latour:isn't the context here about having zomeone mess up the dnssec
keys in the root zone manually?
Luis Espinoza .cr:are we talking about root?
Jacques Latour:I should live still by 2020 :-)
Greg Aaron:thank you, Mikey
Andre Thompson:thanks mikey
bart:HAve a nice day
Katrina Sataki:thank you! bye!
Rick Wilhelm:thanks...
Gisella Gruber-White:the recording has stopped
