Bulgarian domains

Dear ICANN board,

I was fascinated by the great idea of introducing Cyrillic domain names
which I heard about a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately, I had to be disappointed by the recent news that the
proposition for the Bulgarian domain ending .бг has been turned down without
any reasonable explanation.

I don't see any other option for the Cyrillic version of .bg for the sole
reason that .bg is the standard transliteration of .бг. It would be
unreasonable it the Cyrillic version of .bg is for example something like
.бу (.bu) which has nothing to do with the original.

Furthermore, the argument that .бг looks similar to already existing domain
endings I find futile. One might also argue, that .il or .ll are similar.

Therefore I insist on introducing a reevaluation procedure for cases like
ours.
