Dear All,

I might catch the last train with that comment, but I really think that
ICANN should make a little effort to be able to get out of the situation
with the Bulgarian candidature with a favorable solution for all parties.

Let's look at the arguments of the panel that rejected the Bulgarian
candidature. The proposed combination .бг was too close to existing
domains and may cause danger to the stability of the Internet. So for many
years there are domains like .lt and .it Won`t they also create any
problems? Why should Lithuania or Italy be more important than Bulgaria,
that can not get it`s domain? Is not this a discrimination? I thought ICANN
is making the IDN ccTLDs available to all countiries, in order to make
everybody equal and give equal access to Internet to everybody. But now I
see that some of the countries (with latin scripts) are "more equal" than
the others.

I guess that wiser people than me have given their suggestions in the
previous comments on the minimum necessary safeguards to reduce anxiety
among certain people.

I urge ICANN to review the Bulgarian request and issue a decision approving
the domain .бг because the situation is getting really ridiculous. People
are frustrated that their so long awaited domain remains a mirage and begin
to start suggestions that all Bulgarians must give up the domain in
Cyrillic or create a local version of it.

Please realise that waiting for the regular track to get the domain is not
an option to Bulgaria.

With my highest respect,

Ivo Genov
