ICANN should take no action on any changes, not matter the merit or lack of merit of those changes, to any contracts between ICANN and those TLD operators who were selected in year 2000 or later until such time that ICANN completes the acceptance process for the 40 groups who applied in year 2000 but whose applications are still pending. To do otherwise is unfair to those 40 applicants, who between them, paid $2,000,000 to ICANN and who have been subsequently informed that their applications were not rejected but are still pending. ICANN has fully accepted that $2,000,000 dollars. That money was not held in any accounting category that was subject to any contingency - yet ICANN has not yet delivered on its promise to fully and fairly deal with those applicants. --karl-- Karl Auerbach |
