Berry Cobb:Welcome to the 17 July 2012 Consumer Metrics Conference Call
Steve DelBianco (BC):Berry -- could you please expand the font size on the
Adobe center panel?
Steve DelBianco (BC):I cannot do Jul 24 at any time. Other dates are good
Nathalie Peregrine:Cheryl has joined on her mobile
Jonathan Robinson:Agree with Steve. Good points and more effectively
articulated than my input.
Steve DelBianco (BC):Sorry Olivier!
Steve DelBianco (BC):well said, Olivier. The GAC will kill us if we don't
gather data for this
Steve DelBianco (BC):GAC Advice: he GAC now proposes that a comprehensive
post-launch independent review of the Clearinghouse be conducted one year after
the launch of the 75th new gTLD in the round.
Steve DelBianco (BC):to do that review, WE NEED THE DATA
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I Agree totally with last three of you on this
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:k
Michael R. Graham:Agreed -- we really do need to see if we can discuss
separately from present review. Thanks, Jonathan.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and I got disconnected
Nathalie Peregrine:dialling out to you Cheryl
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:back thanks
Nathalie Peregrine:excellent
Michael R. Graham:Welcome, cheryl!
Jonathan Zuck:problem with that is that sometimes TLDs are bundled, or
subject to more complex discounts
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes
Michael R. Graham:Including nature of gTLD with number of DNs registered
works.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:let's make it clear yes
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes put it in notes under definitions
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:again a note then with Steve proposed text on 'potential

Nathalie Peregrine:checking it now with operator
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:dropped from the call
Nathalie Peregrine:dialing you back
Steve DelBianco (BC):Michael - - would you like to explain this comment

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:thx back on
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I agree with you Steve
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:hand up
Jonathan Robinson:I have to drop-off from the call now. Apologies and
thank-you all. Jonathan.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:switch out 'improvements to a
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:'any changes
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yup that works then
Michael R. Graham:Taking an emergency client call -- will return (hopefully
shortly)
Nathalie Peregrine:his line is open
Jonathan Zuck:got disconnected. will reconnect. meanwhile, my point is that I
don't think CCTLDs have anything to do with the new tld program
Nathalie Peregrine:You are showing as connected on the bridge Jonathan, do
you need a dial out?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:but they do act in competition
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and give choice
Michael R. Graham:Before I go: Other metrics: perhaps comparison of ccTLD
prices before/after new gTLD?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:works for me Michael
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:that data already exists
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:so pre and pst measure should be easy
Steve DelBianco (BC):Many of the ALAC's suggested Trust measures are
consistent with this Note 5
Berry Cobb:Competition is defined as the quantity, diversity, and the
potential for market rivalry of TLDs, TLD registry operators, and registrars.
Michael R. Graham:"potential for or actual"
Steve DelBianco (BC):Competition is defined as the quantity, diversity, and
the potential or actual market rivalry of TLDs, TLD registry operators, and
registrars.
Steve DelBianco (BC):Affirmation: "effectiveness of (a) the application and
evaluation process"
Steve DelBianco (BC):Board resolution for our WG: "definition, measures, and
