Re: Purpose.

The constituency has not yet formulated an official position on purpose,
however in the interests of moving the work ahead, I will be advocating
to the constituency that we support a statement of purpose that is very
limited in nature. Specifically that outside of the administrative uses
required by the ICANN contracts, the whois should only be used for
primarily technical purposes.

I will be seeking to formalize this to ensure that our official position
is part of the record prior to its communication to council.
