just a brief update on the surgery this morning.

given the new prominence of TTL in my brain as a result of this 
working group, i've come up with a new recovery metric for surgery 
patients.  TTI -- Time To Internet.  if i were up to writing an RFC, 
i would specify that it be measured in seconds, just like TTL.  but 
while i'm feeling pretty perky for having been bashed about a bit, 
i'm not up to writing the full RFC just yet.
if i run into any complications, i'll demand that they go through a 
PDP process before i'll accept them.  this may be the secret of 
eternal life.  :-)
