Dear All,
An updated version of the draft final report has been posted on the wiki
(https://st.icann.org/pdp-wg-ff/index.cgi?fast_flux_pdp_wg) for your review.
This latest draft includes the proposals received for incorporating comment 1a
and category 2, 7 and 8, as well as other modifications and additions discussed
on the mailing list. Please note that no recommendations have been received yet
for category 3 (James), 4 (Rod/Dave), 5 (James) and 6 (Kal). In addition, a new
chapter has been included that summarizes the public comments received.
Some other issues the group might want to review, as pointed out by Dave:
Line 269: o Encourage ISPs to instrument their own networks;
(this makes no sense to me)
LINE 275: o Establish guidelines for the use of specific techniques such as
very low TTL values;
(should this say "appropriate use"?)
326: What is needed to make these final conclusions rather than interim?
344: What is needed to choose among these for recommendations?
As noted before, the WG will need to pay special attention to section 5.8, 5.9
and chapters 8 (previous 7) and 9 (previous 8) which will require additional
review and modification. In addition, you will find the updated Fast Flux
Public Comments Categorization document posted on the wiki.
With best regards,
Marika
