Subject: [gnso-igo-ingo] IGO-INGO Work Tool based on the straw man
Colleagues,
please find attached an operationalized version of the straw man.
In the Excel sheet, you find 5 spreadsheets in total, one for each area of
work. Hopefully, we will be able to find one volunteer per spreadsheet. Please
indicate on the mailing list or during the next call whether you would be
willing to take care of one of the Work Packages.
In order to give you an idea of how the tool can be used, I have filled in some
information in the file tagged "example". What I have added is taken from
previous discussions and just for purposes of illustration. It does not reflect
my personal view and shall not prejudice the outcome of our work. Please feel
free to delete / amend as you deem appropriate or use the clean version as the
basis of your work. Also, the list of factors is not exhaustive.
As far as next steps are concerned, I propose we proceed as outlined below. I
know the plan is ambitious, but we should try to enable the GNSO Council to
meet the January deadline. Certainly, the plan is subject to our discussion on
Wednesday.
During our call this week, I would like to go through the spreadsheets and let
the group add / amend points and instant feedback. The question will be whether
all options / questions are included the sheets.
We should then create subgroups that work with the respective volunteers to
aggregate information (including links to supporting documentation), discuss
the various items and make a (provisional) recommendation as to how to deal
with the various issues) before the whole group reconvenes to discuss (interim)
results and progress during its Dec. 19<x-apple-data-detectors://0> meeting. We
should continue discussing this on the mailing list.
Together with staff, I will try to have an interim report ready for the Jan
9th<x-apple-data-detectors://1> meeting. That should give us an indication on
which areas are controversial and where consensus might be reached. We should
continue our discussion on the mailing list and refine the groups view. I would
then be able to propose to the Council Leadership to present our preliminary
findings during the January 17th<x-apple-data-detectors://2> call.
Thanks,
Thomas
