Chuck, I may be wrong, but I suspect that each nation only protects the applicable name(s) and not necessarily all translations. And perhaps only the format that is normally used. So, for instance, does the US protect all of redcross (without the space), Croixrouge, croix-rouge, redcrescent, croissantrouge? I am sure the Red Cross folks will enlighten us.
