I have voted against an extension as I do feel the current comment
period time provides an adequate opportunity for interested parties to
comment.

I also share the view that there is overload on the community in terms
of the volume of issues being discussed, but don't feel extending a
comment period does anything to alleviate that stress.

We discussed the possibility of extending the comment period both  on
the call this week and on the list afterwards

There is obviously some difference of opinion on the matter

So in order to preserve my sanity and clarify the situation once and for
all I've created a simple Doodle poll.
