Thanks for the extensive work on this Victoria.
Here are a few comments regarding the RyC consituency charter:
*
Participation in the RyC is not subject to ranking. Every
member is eligible to participate fully regardless of ranking, except
that there is a ranked voting provision that may be used when
requested/needed. Basically, a rough consensus approach is used to
reach decisions and if that fails, the ranked voting may be used. In
reality it has probably been used once or twice since it was initiated 8
or 9 years ago. We have actually made some modifications to this that I
think are fairly good in the RySG charter that you may want to look at.
In that we tried to strike a balance between a one member one vote
approach and an approach that accommodates the amount of impact policies
may have on a registry operator and its registrants.
*
Regarding registry fees, as you noted, the fees are based on
number of registrations under management so that provides an automatic
scaling based on ability to pay. For example, the smallest registry
operators only pay $500 per year while the largest pays $5500 per year.
*
If you look at the RySG proposed charter, you will see that
constituencies do not have representatives on the SG. SG membership is
on a registry operator basis, not on a constituency basis.
*
Registry membership is updated when new members are added.
If anyone has further questions, feel free to ask.
Chuck

Work Plan Task 1, Subtask 4
Dear WT, please see attached my amendments to Julie's analysis.
This could be improved and has taken longer than anticipated. I have
tried to add in the actual provisions -rather than a conclusion on the
provisions as I myself was not aware of many of these very different
practices and procedures and have done this so that I can identify those
provisions that might be borrowed from and those which might not be
ideal for borrowing. It may be of use to others.

Dear Olga,
All team members have access to edit all the team wikis. The
username is their email address. When logging in they should be able to
set a password. If they have any difficulty, I will be happy to assist
them -- or to enter in any information they may wish to add/edit.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Julie

Thanks Julie, you are right I saw the edit option once I
logged in.
Do we all team members may have access to edit our wiki?
If so, how should they get their login info?
I already use the wiki for other GNSO activities and
have my username but I am not sure if the rest of the woking team
members have.
I find wikis very useful but exchanging info through
email is also a possibility.

Dear Olga,
Team members can edit all team wiki pages. However,
they will need to login first. The login tab is in the upper right-hand
corner of the page. Once logged in, they can choose a password.
However, as the tables can be somewhat difficult to
navigate, I also am happy to enter changes provided to me by team
members in any form they choose.
I hope that this is helpful.
Best regards,
Julie

Work Team Draft Work Plan Task 1, Subtask 4
Thanks Julie,
I have a question, is it possible that we team
members edit this table directly into the Wiki?
I just tried but I found no edit permission to
do this.
If not possible, subtask leaders could send
documents with working plans to the list or perhaps.
Best regards and thanks for all your hard work.

Dear Work Team Members,
Attached for your review and consideration is a
Draft Work Plan for Task 1, Subtask 4: Develop a "toolkit" of in-kind

rk_team_task_1_work_plan> also has been revised to include this Draft
Plan.
We welcome your comments, questions, and
suggestions. Thank you.
