[gnso-ppsc-wg] Status Update on Sub-Team Activities

A quick update.  

 

You may recall that we were supposed to have a "consensus" call on 14-15 May
regarding the outlines - a week following our 6 May meeting.   To my
knowledge, that did not occur as planned.   In the confusion as to what was
supposed to occur next, no sub-team meetings were scheduled or held during
the weeks of 18 and 25 May.   After a two week hiatus, Gisella, who is now
handling scheduling for Glen (GNSO Secretariat), attempted to set up two
Doodle requests for the sub-teams as follows:

            Operating Model                 3 June             1600 UTC

            Charter Guidelines              4 June             1600 UTC

 

The "Charter Guidelines" sub-team held a very productive call on 4 June.
It was attended by Avri, Graham, Cheryl, and Ken.   We made considerable
progress on the outline taking into consideration all of the posted Wiki
comments; in fact, we finished it!   Ken was tasked by the sub-team (and
accepted) to draft the 1st version of the "Working Group Implementation and
Charter Drafting Guidelines."    The completed outline and first draft
version of the guidelines will be posted to the Wiki for sub-team review and
further editing/comments in the coming weeks.   Ken will send email
notifications as individual elements are ready for team review.    

 

To my knowledge, since there were not enough participants, the "Operating
Model" sub-team did not meet on 3 June.  

 

According to Gisella, the 10 June 2009 conference call is scheduled for 1700
UTC (1300 EDT).    I sent an inquiry to J. Scott asking if we should keep
that date; however, in the meantime, please book your calendars.     

 

Also, I learned that a meeting room has been arranged for a WG Team session
in Sydney on 21 June (Sunday) at 1400-1500.   Details will be forthcoming.
