Without the opportunity for additional discussions, I don't support
either.  

 

I think that we are spinning our wheels today and creating a lot of
needless internal friction. 

 

We clearly need an extension at this point.  We are volunteers and if we
get the report to Council late, so be it.  In its current form, I don't
think it would be of that much value to them anyway.  I'd prefer to get
something that is accurate and includes the necessary inputs and
reviews.

 

Kristina has done the lion's share of the work and she should be
commended, but we clearly aren't ready to have a final product.

 

If they need something today, perhaps we should just send them the
Ultimate Question paragraph that we are working on and ask for more
time.

I plan to include Peter's proposals in the Outcomes section so I need to
know the level of support.  (I've attached an old version of the
proposals chart that includes Peter's proposals in pages 1-6.)  Please
post your comments.  

Also, I'd completely forgotten that today is a public holiday in
Brussels.  Because I will not be available tomorrow, this weekend, and
Monday (and possibly Tuesday), Mike R. will (as Vice Chair) need to take
the lead on communicating/coordinating for the final report as necessary
during that time.  (Sorry for the short notice, Mike.  I'll buy you a
drink - or several - in San Juan.)  It would be great if other WG
members would be available to assist Mike as may be necessary; please
let us know via list.
