It is impressive how tel handles whois data. It categorizes domain
registrations as that of legal persons and natural persons and depending on
whether the domain name is for a legal person or a natural person, .tel
decides on the extent of data to be returned on a whois query. It is a good
model of a Registry safeguarding a Registrant's interests. Whether it is the
Registry or ICANN that stores the data, some features of the .tel model
could be suitable.
