[gnso-sg1-vi-feb10] VI principles identified in proposals
Greetings, VI Evaluation Team, As promised on today's call, I've attached a list of the principles I identified in all of the VI proposals submitted to date. As you'll note from the message below, I just presented this to the group of proposal sponsors for feedback, so this outline should be considered to be in draft form (or, more accurately, pre-draft). After getting the list of "principles" right, we'll ask the proposal sponsors to indicate which of the principles are addressed in their proposals, and distribute a comprehensive table to the working group. Eventually, the goal in this would be to identify, as best possible, where there is consensus (at least among the proposals) and work toward a group proposal that might be taken to the GNSO. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. I was fairly broad/liberal in the summarized principles in order to help identify potential areas of overlap and consensus, so some of these might appear similar to principles you proposed, but perhaps not exactly what you intended. Before compiling these into a more final table and asking you to indicate which principles your proposal supports/incorporates (as a reference tool for the rest of the working group), we'd like to make sure the list of principles that will populate the table is sufficiently complete. So, if you would kindly review the list of VI principles identified in my document and provide me with any feedback you have about the thoroughness & accuracy of the list as to your proposal, in the form of a redlined version in the next day or two, I'd appreciate it. Specifically, I'm asking you to review the list and call out any areas where you think something from your proposal is missing or perhaps misstated. (The list isn't as long as it looks, I promise!) Please bear in mind that I left out the definitions that were provided in a couple proposals because I think that is probably best left to the next round of discussion. Thanks in advance for your assistance in this. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you think you'll need more time.
