To clarify, the December draft report on proxy and privacy only examined 
whether such a study is feasible. The conclusion, at least for me, was "maybe 
but probably not worth the effort."

Dear All,

I was wondering whether at some point in the Thick Whois PDP we will be 
factoring in the results of the GNSO commissioned studies namely:-


 *   Whois Misuse Study
 *   Whois Registrant Identification Study
 *   Whois Privacy and Proxy Services Abuses Study
 *   Whois Privacy and Proxy Relay/Reveal Study

At some stage the community was informed that these studies were to be 
concluded in 2012 and for some reason the dates shifted to 2013. I also 
acknowledge that the Draft Report for the Whois Proxy/Privacy Reveal and Relay 
Study was published.

I hope that some pressure is being applied to those carrying out these 
important studies because I am certain that their findings will have a bearing 
on some of the considerations for this PDP.
