[gnso-vi-feb10] a .co registration incident of a registration error?
Hello, (This might be a back end error that may be manually corrected by the Registrar in a few hours in response to the support ticket already raised, but I am posting this as an example of possible registration errors in the domain registration process. 1. I registerd turiya.co minutes after the Registry opened registration of .co domain names. Along with the .co name I registered turiya.mobi 2. Paid by credit card, Godaddy confirmed the transaction 3. A confirmation email was received as follows, at 2.22 hours EDT *CUSTOMER NUMBER:**4194838**LOGIN NAME:**isolatedn**RECEIPT NUMBER:** 256382996**ORDER TOTAL:**Rs1,744.60**CUSTOMER SERVICE:**(480) 505-8877* QTY ITEM PRICE 1.CO Domain Name Registration - 1 Year (recurring) Length: 1 Year(s)Rs1,407.98 TURIYA.CO 1.MOBI Domain Name Registration - 1 Year (recurring) Rs336.61 TURIYA.MOBI 4. This momentarily reflected in the domain manager interface, turiya.mobias registerd and turiya.co as pre (!) registered. But when refreshed, there was no record of turiya.co, though the transaction history showed the payment made. A support issue was raised. 5. Turiya.co on a domain search at godaddy appeared available 6. A little later the name wasn't available 7. Whois Godaddy showed turiya.co registered to a registrant in Arizona at 11.25 8.The printable receipt for the transaction still showed payment for turiya.co, showing time of transaction as 11.22 (The transaction was at 2.22 EDT which was 11 52 India time, the record by Godaddy whoed it as 11.22 possibly due to an error in clock setting at Godaddy as GMT + 5 for India instead of GMT + 5.30) Sivasubramanian M Attachment:
