[gnso-wpm-dt] WPM: Draft Council Resolution to Approve Work Prioritization Project List

WPM-DT Members:

Below is a draft motion for the upcoming May Council meeting to approve the
Work Prioritization Project List.   In this draft, I am assuming that there
will be a few changes to the document, which will cause a new version to be
created (v1.1).   If it turns out that the Staff's recommended Project List
is accepted by the Council without changes, the motion can be amended as
appropriate.   You will also notice that there are a couple of URL links
that are not yet available, but I expect to have them shortly once David
Olive's email documents (from 30 April) are published to
http://gnso.icann.org.  

Am I correct in assuming that Olga, as WPM-DT Chair, will make this motion
and either Jaime or Wolf will second it?

DRAFT GNSO COUNCIL RESOLUTION (for 20 May 2010)

WHEREAS, the GNSO Council, at its 21 April 2010 meeting, adopted a
resolution and timeline

its first Work Prioritization effort according to a set of procedures
(proposed Chapter 6 and ANNEX

recommended by the Work Prioritization Model Drafting Team (WPM-DT); 

WHEREAS, the first step in the GNSO Work Prioritization timeline called for
the ICANN Policy Staff to produce, on or before 30 April 2010, a
recommendation of those GNSO projects that should be considered Eligible and
Ineligible for the Work Prioritization effort;  

WHEREAS, the ICANN Policy Staff prepared and delivered to the GNSO Council a
recommended Work Prioritization Project List {Link TBD} document on 30 April
2010;  

WHEREAS, the GNSO Council has reviewed the Staff's recommended Work
Prioritization Project List and its changes and alterations have been
incorporated into version 1.1 {Link TBD}; 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT:

RESOLVED, that the GNSO Council accepts and approves the GNSO Work
Prioritization Project List (version 1.1) for use in all remaining steps of
the Work Prioritization timeline that, upon completion, is intended to
culminate in a set of approved GNSO project ratings and priorities at the
ICANN meeting in Brussels.
