The puntVLa team wishes to congratulate and thank the GNSO council members,
the GAC representatives and ICANN staff for their hard work on the matter
of generic TLD's. We also congratulate the puntCAT team for their
achievement and thank the dotBERLIN team for their important contribution to
the concept of geoTLD's.

We feel that these new recommendations on generic TLD's will lead to a
more transparent, comprehensive and orderly application procedure with fair
and clear rules, and thus strengthen the confidence among applicants as well
as the global population of internet users.

Thinking of Principle A - *New generic top-level domains (gTLDs) must be
introduced in an orderly, timely and predictable way* - puntVLa asks that
ICANN would announce not only the next, but also at least the next but one
application round, so that candidates can plan and organize their
application in an efficient way.

The puntVLa team is gathering Flemish and foreign experts in various fields
and will apply for a generic TLD for the Flemish community in Flanders,
Brussels and French Flanders; as well as Flemings in Wallonia, the
Netherlands and the rest of the world.
