I am against the TLD. This is just arranging for a ghetto type censorship.
The United States congress has already attempted to force all adult web
join a special TLD, and if there was on available, new restrictive laws
could be passed that would treat this domain (or any adult only domain)
differently than other internet domains,
including fines for any site which refused to join the domain, special
record keeping requirements, increased inspections, increased fees from
of the TLD for meeting government regulations, and so forth.
Financial ferms could restrict banking services to site that is in a .XXX
domain, or further restrict access to credit card processing, just because
these sites are in a .XXX domain.
Further, the domain cannot be structured to meet any intelligent type
of internal regulations, without ether failing to serve the community, the
public at large, or government intress.
