The Creation of the xxx domain.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

The creation of an xxx domain name appears to be a regulatory measure
without purpose.  

 

The internet is an international communication system with effects the
United Kingdom.  Abusive users will operate web sites from locations in
which enforcement of the law is limited; thus it is difficult to see what
purpose the creation of an xxx domain can serve other than to facilitate
commercial undertakings providing pornography.

 

Many in the United Kingdom oppose the creation of the xxx domain and seek
greater international co-operation in the enforcement of the currents laws
on obscenity.
