Conscientious webmasters everywhere already label their adult content as clearly that. Unfortunately, just as in ANY business there exists a segment of the population that don't "play by the rules." In localites where this rule-breaking is already largely ignored, can any reasonable person conclude that making yet another new rule will have ANY EFFECT WHATSOEVER??? With the exception of running law-abiding webmasters out of business, .XXX will have NO EFFECT!

The fact is, that the majority of adult webmasters are not only responsible business people, but are also parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles. Most are sole proprietors operating on razor-thin profit margins which could easily be destroyed with a tenfold increase in registration prices!

The "holes" in ICM's arguement and the lack of general support in the webmaster community has previously been noted by ICANN. Consequently, ICANN has already wisely ruled in this matter! Webmasters STILL do not support .XXX! What has changed???

It begs one to wonder what interest (financial or other) ICM has in attempting this end-run around the previous ruling of the world's foremost authority on the issue...?

"I do not support the creation of a .XXX sTLD and believe that the ICANN Board was well within its rights to deny ICM's application in the 2007 Board meeting in Lisbon.

It is imperative that ICANN consider the widespread opposition from the adult entertainment community to a .XXX sTLD as it makes its decision. For that reason, I support Option # 3 of the March 26, 2010 process options submitted by ICANN for public comment."
