"These negotiations have produced an agreement that
reflects NeuStar's continued commitment to ICANN and
to the long-term security and stability of the DNS. An
example of that commitment is NeuStar's agreement to
pay significantly higher ICANN fees on a per-domain
basis than will be paid by .COM."

When I read this type of tripe I am reminded of the
fact that what we really have here is this:

an entity under contract is saying to the Steward of
Public Resources, "I am willing to put a lot more
dollars directly into your pocket in exchange for the
ability to screw the public through higher fees"

to the public, this sure smells like bribery...  

Is the Steward corrupt?  I'm sure that we'll soon find
out.
